Recast Lab is an independent project founded in Italy by multidisciplinary artist Davide Rossi.
The project focuses on upcycling and reworking pre-existing garments, giving new life to used clothing through transformation processes and different artistic techniques.
The journey began in 2020 with Dumbdry Studio, a screen-printing workshop focused on textile printing. Inspired by skateboarding culture and the underground scene, the project developed through a hands-on, experimental approach using self-built wooden screens and water-based inks.
In 2023, Davide relocated the project to Berlin in search of new inspiration, collaborations and engagement within an international creative scene. Between 2024 and 2025, he became a co-founder of Pikante Kollektiv, contributing to multimedia content and merchandising projects.
During this period, PVNK STAR was launched as a side project of Dumbdry Studio, focusing on distressing techniques and customized headwear. Recast Lab now exists at the intersection of art, fashion and contemporary underground culture.

Dumbdry is a project founded in 2020, specializing in garment screen printing, graphic design and the creation of custom screen-printing frames.
The project follows a sustainable approach, primarily using reclaimed garments and water-based inks, combining craftsmanship, aesthetic research and environmental responsibility.

PVNK
STAR
PVNK STAR is a project founded in 2025, focused on the customization and distressing of hats through spray paint, experimental textures and graphic patterns.
Each piece is transformed through cutting and reworking processes, then enhanced with spikes, studs and repurposed everyday materials. The result is a unique object shaped by punk aesthetics and an anti-conformist attitude.
